  香川大学では、ゲノム解析技術に関する研究・教育基盤を構築して、広い研究分野におけるバイオインフォマティクス解析のレベルを向上させ、学部の壁を越えた研究連携を推進するために、全学組織であるバイオインフォマティクス解析センターを設置しました。

  当センターは、専任教員2名、客員教員1名、博士研究員1名を中心として、医学系、生命科学系、農学系、希少糖学系等の広い分野の横断型研究にも対応し、高度な解析業務を進めます。同センターへの併任教員53名を組織化して、大学内の研究・教育を活性化するとともに、当該地域の次世代シーケンス企業やAI/高速GPU企業等とも連携し、地域の需要に応えるゲノム解析の拠点化を目指します。

  Kagawa University has established the Bioinformatics Analysis Center, a University-wide organization, to build a research and education infrastructure for genome analysis technology, to raise the level of bioinformatics analysis in a wide range of research fields, and to promote cross-departmental research collaboration.

The Bioinformatics Analysis Center, with two full-time faculty members, one visiting faculty member, and one postdoctoral researcher, will also conduct interdisciplinary researches in a wide range of fields, including medicine, life sciences, agriculture, and rare sugar sciences, and promote advanced analytical works. The center will also collaborate with next-generation sequencing companies and AI/high-speed GPU companies in the region, aiming to become a center for genome analysis to meet regional demands.
